Asphalt Shingle Roof Installation Process

Our installation process is based on precision, experience, and the use of high-performance materials. Each step is designed to ensure a safe, long-lasting, and aesthetically uniform result.

1 - Project Evaluation and Preparation

It all begins with a detailed technical inspection:

  • We evaluate the existing roof or base structure.
  • We measure the surface, slopes, and key points (chimneys, skylights, gutters).
  • We determine the most suitable type of asphalt shingle:
  • 3-tab shingles (traditional): Economical and lightweight option.
  • Architectural (dimensional) shingles: Thicker, more durable, and modern-looking.
  • Premium or high-performance shingles: Ideal for extreme climates.
  • We provide a customized proposal with clear materials, timelines, and costs.

2 - Removal of Existing Roof

If an old roof is present, it’s safely and carefully removed:

  • Old shingles, nails, and debris are taken out.
  • The surface is fully cleaned to detect any damage.
  • If any decking sections are deteriorated, they’re replaced or reinforced.

3 - Installation of the Waterproof Base

Before shingle installation, a protective barrier is applied:

  • An underlayment (waterproof membrane) is placed across the entire surface.

  • Metal drip edges are installed along the roof borders to prevent leaks.

4 - Asphalt Shingle Installation

Once the base is ready, shingle installation begins:

  • Shingles are installed from the bottom up, overlapping each row to prevent leaks.
  • They’re fastened with galvanized nails placed at the manufacturer’s recommended points.
  • In wind-exposed or steep areas, additional adhesives or sealants are applied.
  • Finally, ridge shingles are installed to complete the roof with a clean, polished finish.

5 - Finishing, Cleaning, and Final Inspection
